Dunmharu formed in 2020 during the height of the pandemic in Dave’s garage. They draw influence from old school death metal bands like Cannibal Corpse and combine it with the groove of Corrosion of Conformity and the sludgy sound of Crowbar.

While the band members may have had vastly different upbringings in different parts of the country, 3 out of the 4 members have served or are still serving in the US military. This experience has inspired some of the content of songs produced, specifically Freedom Suicide.
